Meet Dr. Edward Jimenez

Dr. Edward Jimenez is Cleveland suburb resident who received his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1991.  His education continued with an additional year of General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio.  This residency program provided the training to deliver comprehensive dental care in a hospital's outpatient and inpatient setting.  Prior to dental school, Dr. Jimenez received his Bachelor of Arts at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  He is also an alumni of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Giving back to the community is an integral part of Dr. Jimenez's practice and personal life.  Since 1993 he has been a volunteer at the Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland.  The mission of the Free Clinic is to provide quality health care free of charge to the underserved residents of Cleveland.  For his dedication to the Free Clinic, Dr. Jimenez was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award by Crain's Cleveland Business in 2009.

Dr. Jimenez is also involved in volunteering internationally.  He participates in a medical mission two to three times per year with a non-profit organization called Helping Hands Medical Mission.  Helping Hands is comprised of medical providers and volunteers who deliver compassionate health care and the gospel to some of the poorest areas of the world.  Some of the countries he has served in include Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ghana, Ecuador and the Philippines.  For the past few years, Dr. Jimenez has been the medical director of the Philippines branch of the organization.  He welcomes anyone interested in medical missions to contact him.
